Adult/Teen Kayak Polo - Tuesday evenings - 8:15-9:45 Oct 20 to May 25 - $150 season, or $10 drop-in fee We are excited to be offering drop-in kayak polo again this year. Please be in your bathing suit and ready to go. We're in the pool from 8:30-9:30, but we arrive 15 minutes early to get our boats down, and stay 15 minutes late to put them away. If you need a boat and gear, it is included in the fee. These sessions are not aimed at absolute beginners, but if you are comfortable with a wet-exit or a T-rescue, you are welcome to come play polo with us! Youth Kayak Team - Friday evenings - 7:15-8:45

Ages 11-18 - October 16th to May 21 - $150 season, $300 family
This will be a team for youth who are interested in progressing further in kayaking. We'll be learning more skills, playing lots of games, learning to roll, and even training for the 2010 Alberta Summer Games. Even if you're not at all interested in competing, you're welcome to come out if you want to learn more about kayaking and have a good time. Beginners are welcome if they're keen on kayaking! We're in the pool from 7:30-8:30, but we arrive 15 minutes early to get our boats down, and stay 15 minutes late to put them away.
This fee counts on your Income Taxes towards the $500 youth fitness tax credit. Also, please note that through KidSport, families with a net income lower than $40,000-50,000 have access to assistance to help pay their registration fees - please let us know if you need a form. **Youth team members also get a discount on Tuesday night polo – they can pay $50 for the season of polo
There is still space on this youth team, so please pass on the message to friends or acquaintances who might be interested – thanks!
Family Kayaking - Sunday afternoons - 4:00-5:15
Oct 18 to May 2 - 23 weeks (** No family kayaking in December)
This will be a fun and relaxed way to practice paddling with your kids. This is NOT instructional time, although if it's your first time in a kayak, we will definitely teach you how to do a wet exit (i.e. how to get out of your boat safely when it flips over). After the initial wet-exit lesson, parents are responsible for themselves and their children. Parents must be in the water standing beside their kids, or when your kids are more confident, parents can be in a boat paddling beside your kids. We'll have both adult and child-sized boats available. We're in the pool from 4:00-5:00. Parents will be required to help get the boats down and put them away at the end of the session.
Price: - $200 family seasons pass
- $20 family drop-in rate
* If we have enough families registered, we’ll be able to afford pool time in December, but December is a busy month, so we’ll have to see how many families are interested in kayaking in December.
